Akagera Safari
Annually, we expertly match over 100,000 proactive individuals seeking expertise in finance, lending, and claims management with experienced advisors and brokers.
Akagera National Park is Rwanda’s only Big Five safari destination and it delivers. Located in the eastern part of the country along the Tanzanian border, Akagera blends rolling savannas, open plains, lakes, and swamps into one of Africa’s most scenic and compact parks. On this guided safari, you’ll set out in a Land Cruiser to track elephants, lions, giraffes, and more. All while taking in the vast, unspoiled beauty of the wild.

Entry to Akagera National Park
Game drive across diverse ecosystems (savanna, lakes, wetlands)
Chance to spot lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species
Your day begins early with a drive from Kigali to Akagera’s southern gate. Once inside the park, the adventure starts. With binoculars in hand and your camera ready, you'll journey through the park’s different zones, each offering something new. One minute you’re in golden grasslands watching a tower of giraffes stroll by, and the next you’re lakeside, where hippos surface and fish eagles cry overhead.
Your guide will help track animal sightings, share park history, and make sure you don't miss the quiet moments too. A lone elephant crossing, a sunrise over Lake Ihema, or a herd of impala grazing in the morning light.
This safari is ideal for travelers craving that classic African safari experience, but with Rwanda’s signature beauty and tranquility.

"Ubwiza Adventures brought such positive energy and professionalism to our corporate retreat. Their support, collaboration, and commitment to our goals made a huge difference. It felt less like working with a service provider and more like gaining a teammate. I truly look forward to working with them again."
